Built on the foundation of North Star Music\u2019s successful first offering, <em>Modern Music for New Singers: 21<sup>st<\/sup> Century American Art Songs, <\/em>this collection will provide teachers with exciting new repertoire for small ensembles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Submission <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1f_DgkQ-LUIwRdyepYRJMNOwvo2q1TVrcihfPwRUhdCM\/edit\">Link<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION AND SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Composers of all ages are eligible to submit their original songs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each composer may submit no more than 4 songs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is no fee for submission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submission deadline is <strong>September 15, 2023<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notification of acceptance and contract will be sent by December 31, 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligible works must adhere to the following criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Original works for any voice grouping of <strong>2-4 singers and piano<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Composed no earlier than 2000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Priority will be given to songs that are NOT from operas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For previously published songs, upload a letter of express permission for use from the publisher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All text must be in the public domain, or upload letter of permission for use from the copyright holder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><\/h1>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Classical musicians \u2013 especially young musicians \u2013 need to study new works by living composers.
