\n<\/u><\/em><\/strong>These songs use three well known poems from the Renaissance.\u00a0 The first and third songs are light and humorous. The Silver Swan<\/em><\/strong> is one of the most famous poems from that time period.<\/p>\n

THERE IS A LADY SWEET AND KIND

There is a Lady sweet and kind,
\nWas never face so pleased my mind;
\nI did but see her passing by,

Her gesture, motion and her smiles,
\nHer wit, her voice, my heart beguiles;
\nBeguiles my heart, I know not why,
\nAnd yet I\u2019ll love her till I die.<\/p>\n

Her free behavior, winning looks,
\nWill make a Lawyer burn his books;
\nI touched her not, alas! not I,
\nAnd yet I\u2019ll love her till I die.<\/p>\n

Cupid has wings and he does range;
